Private by design: no email, no real name, no location. A nickname is all you need to play.
1. The bare minimum, by design
Lamma Time asks for no email, no real name, no phone number, no location. Playing locally (passing the phone around) transmits nothing at all: everything stays on the device.
2. Live rooms
To play remotely, the app creates a pseudonymous profile (the first name or nickname you choose) and a room code. Game actions (answers, votes, scores) pass through our servers just long enough to sync the game between participants.
3. Metrics and purchases
- Anonymous usage statistics (games started, games played) help us improve the app — no identity, no profiling.
- Pack purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play: we never see your payment data.
- No advertising, ever.
4. Subprocessors
- Supabase — syncing live rooms and pseudonymous profiles.
5. Retention and deletion
Local data disappears when you uninstall the app. Your pseudonymous profile and room history can be deleted — see the "Delete my profile" page linked at the bottom of this page.
